About the book "Freddy in Peril" by Dietlof Reiche

My favorite part of the book is the ending when Prof. Fleishkoph, the person who wanted to dissect Freddy's head, goes insane on TV saying animal experiments aren't forms of animal cruelty and are right to do. Freddy is a golden hamster who knows to read and write on a computer. Unlike other scientists, Prof. Fleishkoph believes that golden hamsters with nerves connecting two halves of the brains should be able to read and write. In order to prove his theory, he kidnapped Freddy and wanted to dissect Freddy to identify the nerve fibers when he finds a story written by Freddy posted on the internet. Freddy excaped from the mad professor with the help of John, his owner, Linda the reporter, and Gregory the older brother of Freddy's previous owner. The professor and Linda went on a TV debate about animal experiments. He defended the animal tests because he thinks that animal tests advance science. He used Freddy as an example. However, Linda argued that animal experiments are cruel and the nerve-fiber thing is a pipe-dream. Then, the professor accused Linda of stealing Freddy from him. Nobody believed what the professor said, so he started yelling and shouting. The guards had to take him off the media. I like this part because it was funny how the professor went insane. I also like the real world controversty link.

I Can't believe That We Have to go to school All Summer Long! [Make - believe]

I can't believe that we have to go to school all Summer long! It's insane! it all started when when I, my mom ,and dad recieved a phone call from the local school district saying,"There has been a small change in the way school is going to be. From now on, including this Summer, you will have to go to school year round"I said,"Even Summer?" The person replied," Yes, even Summer." Then the phone call ended. That's what started it all. Isn't Summer the time for relaxing? It's hot and is one of the best times of the year! I want Summer vacation back!

Moving to the Temporary Housing

PROLOUGE[Just to recap on what I did.]
We moved from Ithaca, New York to New Jersey. We stored all our stuff and furniture in a storage room. Then we stayed at a hotel for exactly a week searching for a good enough temporary housing so I could go to school and mom could look for a permanent housing until she starts working. Finally we found a good enough temporary housing apt. at this place called River Park at Raritan, or RPR. We decided to move there.

ACTUAL PERSONAL NARRATIVE

When my dad was at work I and my mom focused on moving our stuff from the hotel we were staying in to the temporary housing at RPR. My mom told me to pack all my stuff into my backpack. I then stuffed all my stuff into my backpack. After that I helped my mom stuff some clothing into my backpack. After that, all the stuff we packed was ready to be put in the car and moved to our temporary housing. But, lifting the stuff and then putting it into the car would be too much effort so mom sent me to get a little trolley to move the stuff. I went down a couple hallways until I found the little trolleys. I took one of them then wheeled it to I and my mom's hotel room front. My mom congragulated me for getting the little trolley. She then carried her plant and dad's plant to the car or else they would be squished. Next, mom came back to the little trolley to help me load our stuff onto the little trolley. When we finally got the stuff onto the little trolley, I wheeled the little trolley to the door. To make the moving easier, mom drove the car torwards the door the little trolley was at. After that we put the stuff into the car's trunk and a giant briefcase full of clothes into the back seat. Finally, mom got into the drivers seat and I into the back seat[as a result of the giant briefcase in the back, I was squished] and away we went to our apt. at RPR.

When we got there, it was raining. Mom drove the car to a parking spot and told me to stay in the car so she could look for a cart to move our stuff. After a while of waiting, I got bored so I got out of the car, locked it, and then went into the building.

When I got to the main entrance, the door was locked. luckily, the doorman saw me and asked me why I was here. I told him I was looking for my mom. Then he told me to wait on a chair for my mom to come. Luckily[again],George, the guy who showed I and my mom the apt. we were going to rent, just happened to come. I told him that I was looking for my mom. Then he asked if anybody by my mom's name had come[no, I will not use names, not even mine]. The doorman said, "Yes I did see somebody by that name. She went to the basement to get a cart." George then gave me the keys and told me to give them to my mom. So, I waited until my mom came then gave her the keys. She didn't find any carts in the basement so the doorman lent us one. Mom then drove to the main entrance and we opened the trunk and the doors to load the stuff. We then loaded the cart with our stuff and took the elevator upstairs. Since our door was unlocked, we opened the door and unloaded the stuff.Lastly, we returned the cart. Now this is how we moved to our temporary housing.
